A two-day training course designed for participants in supervisory roles within mining, quarrying, processing plants and workshops. This course provides essential knowledge and practical skills to implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and risk management strategies, ensuring compliance with Schedule 26 of the WHS (Mines) Regulations WA. Successful completion enables participants to be appointed as Statutory Supervisors on a mine site after passing the required legislation examination.

- Select and use appropriate hazard identification tools and techniques.
- Assess risks associated with identified hazards and document the outcomes.
- Contribute to developing, implementing, and evaluating risk controls according to the hierarchy of control measures and WHS laws.
- Communicate risk assessment outcomes and risk control information to relevant stakeholders.

What are the entry requirments?
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old
- Have 2 valid forms of identification on the day of training one being a current photo ID.
- Sound verbal and written comprehension of the English language is mandatory
- Basic computer skills to access online portal and complete pre requisite information
Assessment
Classroom-based theory component followed by theoretical assessment
