What is the duration of training?
ONE DAY COURSE with prerequisite learning completed prior to course date
PLEASE NOTE:
As a requirement for this course, students must complete the prerequisite online learning before the course day. This can be accessed via the student portal.
Up to 5 hours of Pre-learning including 6 focus videos and knowledge assessments consisting of:
- Online quizzes and interactive tools.
Where is the training delivered?
This course is delivered in the following location. Practical training will be conducted at an external facility, with transportation for students to this location will be arranged by RMS.
Accredited Units
This course includes the following accredited units of competency:
- RIIMPO320F – Conduct Civil Construction Excavator Operations
- RIIMPO301E – Conduct Hydraulic Excavator Operations (additional unit optional extra fee of $150 applies)
What are the entry requirments?
- Must be a minimum of 18 years old
- Sound verbal and written comprehension of the English language is mandatory
- Must have basic computer skills to enable access to the online learner portal and completion of pre-requisite learning
- Steel cap boots, long pants, and a long-sleeved shirt are required for the quarry
- Two forms of identification, one of which must be photo ID

VOCs Available
