What is the duration of training?
The course takes place over TWO HALF DAYS. On the second day, a DOT Test will be conducted for those that are ready.
There is pre-requisite learning material to be completed prior to the course start date.
PLEASE NOTE:
As a requirement for this course, students must complete the prerequisite online learning before the course day. This can be accessed via the student portal.
Up to 3.5 hours of Pre-learning including 6 focus videos and knowledge assessments consisting of:
- Online quizzes and interactive tools.

What are the entry requirments?
- Must have basic computer skills to enable access to the online learner portal and completion of pre-requisite learning
- Must have held a C Class (Car) licence for a minimum of 2 years
- Licence must be manual class and issued in WA
- Learner’s permit (optional)
- Enclosed shoes must be worn when driving the truck

Eligibility for licence upgrade to HR (Manual restricted) class (Please note that you must send your driver’s licence through prior to the commencement of the course so we can check your eligibility with the Department of Transport prior to starting practical training)
